  • 2008 Christmas Party for the firefighters & board members.  Thank you to everyone that made this party possible and to everyone that was able to attend!

  • Our 2007 Country Breakfast was May 19th and we fed 637 people!  Below are a few pictures from the event.  We would like to say THANK YOU to Hiland Dairy, Richards Meat Market, Wal-Mart & Sam's Club.   These businesses are what our community is all about!

  • Effective July 1, 2007, there will be a change in the joining fee amount and the yearly dues paid to the fire department.  On March 26 the board voted to raise the joining fee to $120 and the yearly dues to $60.  This is to help offset the cost of fuel and equipment used by our firefighters at calls.  The joining fee will now also include a reflective address sign with your address on it.  This is to help the first responders and fire fighters find your home easily.  These signs can be installed by our firefighters if you are unable to do the installation.  Just contact Shane Wood at 443-5700 for assistance.

  • Effective March 1, 2007, Round Mountain fire department will have a 4/6 ISO rating.  This means that if you live within 1000 feet of a fire hydrant, you get insurance rates based on an ISO 4 rating, and if your house is further than 1000 feet, you get an ISO rating of 6.  This is an incredible drop from the 9 that we were rated at before.  Please contact your insurance agent to get more information on how this might help lower your insurance rates.  We would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone that put so much time into getting prepared for and doing the actual testing.  We really appreciate it!

  • If you are interested in getting a reflective address sign for your driveway, to make it easier for emergency vehicles to locate you, please call 442-5700 or 521-1894.  We have those available for $10.

A membership to the Round Mountain Fire Department costs $60 for each year, which is payable to Washington County along with your property taxes.  Income from these fees provides safety and lifesaving equipment to our volunteer fire fighters and emergency medical personnel and maintenance for our equipment.  Our volunteers will be there to assist you in any emergency.  By becoming a member, you make sure they have the proper training and equipment to do that job.

If you are interested in becoming a member or have questions, call Pam Barton at 521-1894 or e-mail

Receipts can be picked up, e-mailed, or faxed to you, whichever is most convenient.

Board members are elected at the annual meeting in June.  Members can serve a 3 year term and then are up for re-election.  If re-elected they will serve another 3 year term.  Members may only serve 2 consecutive terms then they are required to sit out for one year.  * indicates that a member can be re-elected.
